Jason
Dale Kuehn, graduate of Purdue University's computer graphics
department, and owner of Slipstream Hover Technologies,
was introduced to hovercraft through a high school friend.
He began his hovercraft career by constructing a 15P with
Marquis Songer in 1995. In 1999, Jason became a member of
Hoverclub of America. Along with Marquis and Eric Whitesell,
he built a twin engine entry level racer, which he used
to win the entry level National Championship in 2000. Jason
continued to race in entry level until 2001 when he began
constructing a formula 2 13P while working at Universal
Hovercraft. Jason raced his 13P at the World Championship
in Terre Haute, IN in 2002. In 2003, Jason received 3rd
place overall in the Formula 2 category. Jason converted
his 13P from a twin engine racer to a single engine cruiser/endurance
racer. In 2004, he started the Hoverclub forum, which has
allowed club members to communicate about events, questions,
and experiences. Jason has been an advocate of open format
endurance racing, an event held for the first time at the
2006 National Championship in Chillicothe, OH, in which
he participated as a racer. Jason started Slipstream Hover
Technologies in 2006 in an effort to grow the sport by providing
hovercraft enthusiasts with access to better hovercraft
parts at a lower cost. Jason was elected onto the Hoverclub
Board of Directors during the Hoverclub's annual meeting
in 2006 and was selected by the Board to be Vice President.
