Come join the Great Lakes Area Hovercraft group for a fun day of Ice hovering on beautiful frozen Gun Lake, followed by dinner and tour of Don Bender’s impressive Hovercraft Design shop in Middleville, MI.

Directions: Gun Lake is located midway between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, 5 miles east of US131. GPS coordinates of boat launch: N42°35.692' W85°32.905'.
From the North or South on US131, take exit 59 toward Shelbyville (124th ave.), and head east approx. 5 miles until you reach the lake. Just before it dead-ends into Patterson road, make a left turn into the parking area, then follow the brown sign into the boat launch lane. It’s set up as a one-way in and out. Meet at the boat launch area at 10:00 am.

Safety is a top concern, so please make sure your craft is in good operating condition and that you are dressed appropriately for sustained cold weather operations. We may have lunch at a lakeside coffee shop (hover parking provided), and if you need to refuel, there is a gas station next to the coffee shop.
