Trip Distance & Navigability:
It is about 6 miles of wide open river from
Montezuma to the Sugar Creek junction. From the junction
it is about 5 miles of smaller, twisty, sometimes restrictive
river due to log jams and river levels to Turkey Run State
Park. For those who may want to choose to cruise all
the way from Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute it is an additional
22 miles from the Faibanks Park boat launch to the Montezuma
access site.
