Have to pass on the snowmobiles Friday, but will be there Sat. to hopefully ride in an enclosed heated hover. My enclosure is not ready for prime time yet. Definitely ready for next year.

Dave Alexander, Mike McFarland and I are going to meet Friday eve. 6pm at the lake to do a night cruise with the snowmobiles.  It's going to be -7 F. windchill (standing still).  Are you enticed yet to join us?

Looking forward to the Devil's Lake Hover-In this weekend and seeing my hover friends again.
I'm going to roll the dice and bring my hovercraft and try to start building up confidence in it's reliability.
I will shoot to arrive between 10 and 11 Sat. morning.

Lets hope the ice/snow isn't too ripped up from the snowmobiles.

Guys, just met with the Devils Lake Men's Club last and they will be providing a designated hovercraft parking area this year . At the moment there is 18" of ice do all the snowmobile and motorcycle races are on. In addition there will be a hockey rink and ice fishing contest. Looks to be a great event this year . Mike

The pictures are also posted here on this web site in the photos section.

Although weather conditions are warmer it will be teens at night by the end of the week. We did not reach the 12" of ice necessary for sanctioned races but there is usually a drag strip and oval still for those wanting to try. I spoke to the festival organizers and they are pushing the hovercraft demonstrations as a larger draw now. With the warmer weather and refreezing the lake should be smooth and fast. We usually meet between 10 and noon on Saterday and after general cruising eat lunch at the Highland Beach Inn as a group.Saterday night we get together for dining and perhaps a few drinks later. Some more cruising is scheduled for Sunday followed by a Sunday Brunch. My ph number is 517-902-4810 if you need anything or have questions. Mike
