Hovercraft Events - Past and Present

Wabash Cannonball, Vincennes, IN

I also wanted to echo what Marquis said.  Each year we seem to have a few more people.  This year we were lucky to have people from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and West Virginia.  It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves on the Wabash.  If you have any suggestions that could make the event better please send those comments our way.

Thanks to everyone that attended this weekend. Overall we had 12 crafts and 25 people that came to cruise or talk hovers this weekend. More info to follow in the next Hovernews. If you attended please consider sending a few words & pictures to Dave Galka for Hovernews. This event keeps getting bigger and we're already thinking about things for next year's 5 year anniversary!

We've already got an early arrival on site and for some reason someone at the campground told them the event was cancelled.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

Josh is going to contact the park tomorrow morning to find out why that message was being passed.  For all we know it could have been some random camper and not anyone official.  Josh and I will be leaving for Vincennes after work on Friday and should get there probably no later than 6 or 7pm.

WE WILL SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND!

The Weather gods are holding steady.  Looks like mid to upper 90's with about 10% chance of rain.  Sounds like the perfect weather to be out on the river.  Come have a good time this weekend.

T-Minus a week till the Wabash Cannonball Cruise.  Marquis and I will arrive Friday evening after school.  Dan Hidel sent an email saying he would arrive Thursday evening.  Organized cruising will be Saturday and Sunday with plenty of time for exploring in between.

Like last year the park is looking forward to our return and knock on wood it looks like the weather will be much better this year.  Weather.com's 10 day forecast says 10% chance of rain Saturday and 0% for Sunday with a high in the low 90's.  This is a far cry different than the Hurricane rain that they predicted and we had last year.

Those of you interested in Jason's new craft from Hoverstream should attend.  He will have one of them there and I am sure he will be willing to show and demonstrate to any potential customers.

We have also had some interest from members  that have built new hovers.  Current river conditions are great for new crafts.  There are plenty of sand bars to pull out of the river to check things out.  We will have a wide range of crafts and speed capabilities.  If you think your craft is too slow then you are wrong.  The faster crafts are good about swinging around and checking on the slower craft.  Everyone is welcome at this cruise.

Right now I know we will have these crafts represented  Hoverstream's Flying Fish (one of the models), ,UH-13PT, UH-14P, UH-17T, Neoteric Hovertreck,  Hovercraft America 5,  Sevtec Scot and Sevtec Vangard.    I also think we will have a Neoteric Questrek,  but they have not confirmed yet.

If you plan to bring an RV let me know.  They plan to block at least the first space off for us. There is plenty of room for tent camping also.  The park has a shower house with restrooms.

So get those hovers ready and we look forward to seeing everyone there next weekend.

I fixed it using admin features when you said something Dave.  It worked when he initially did it.  Some how the text went from being a link to text again.  I have had this happen to me also.  So to make it easier on viewers I fixed it again.

It works now, but it didn't when you first posted it.  By "Works" - I mean it was not selectable.  (not an actual link).  It is now, so did you have to redo it to make it an actual link?
