Looks like a good place to play around, my other spot is in west Carthage you can take the black river all the way to Lyons falls, it is a long ways but we do it on the jet skis in the fall or spring when the river is higher.

Bill it doesn't look like you can cruise very far before you run into a dam.  There's dams all up and down the black river.

How many people would be interested in a hovercraft ride in NY? I have been looking into some locations, I found a nice spot on the black river. Has room for parking and a nice concrete entrance into the river. You can view it on Google maps type in the town Deferiet ,NY is at the end of riverside drive.  Looks to be shallow water from the launch.

You could organize an event.  Just find a suitable location and determine the date, then contact as many members in the area as possible.  We can help by putting in on the event calendar and getting the word out through this web site.

Hi Guys,
 
What would we need to do to get some type of hovercraft event in NY, VT or PA area. Seems like there is nothing in this area. NY, VT and PA seem to have a number of members, There are also some members in ontario, Canada that are members of the club  and some that are not. I think it would/could be a great area to have some hovercraft activities.
 Any thoughts?
